Mental performance coaching is a type of coaching that helps
athletes and performers (coaches and parents, too) develop
the mental and emotional skills needed to perform at their best- especially under pressure. It focuses on the psychological side of performance, not the therapy or treatment of mental health disorders.
Jenna provides mental performance coaching that is specifically tailored to what each child or team needs. She establishes this based on feedback from the athlete, performer, coach and parent along with performance assessments.
Mental performance coaching teaches athletes and performers how to manage their inner experience- thoughts, emotions, and focus- to optimize performance. Having strength, speed or an amazing voice can only get you so far. If you don't know how to manage your anxiety, are lashing out at your coach, ump or opposing team members or are putting yourself down to the point you're in tears at minor setbacks, you will struggle to progress or even continue to compete.
